Job Description

Our Innovative Analysis Team is seeking an Automation Specialist for a 12 month contract opportunity to design, develop, and maintain automated systems and processes to improve operational efficiency and productivity in mining.

This role involves identifying automation opportunities, analysing workflows, and delivering solutions that integrate seamlessly with existing infrastructure.

You will work closely with testing teams to validate and troubleshoot automation, while ensuring clear documentation for knowledge transfer and ongoing optimisation.

Key Responsibilities :

Identify, design, and implement automation solutions using RPA, scripting, and workflow tools.

Analyse existing workflows and processes to uncover automation potential.

Integrate automated systems with ERP, MES, SCADA, and other operational platforms.

Collaborate with QA / testing teams to ensure functionality and resolve issues.

Create and maintain comprehensive documentation to support knowledge transfer.

Support continuous improvement and optimisation of automation solutions

Leverage platforms such as Bizagi (advantageous)

Required Experience & Skills :

5+ years’ experience in automation, systems integration, or process improvement roles.

Hands-on experience with RPA platforms (e.g., UiPath, Blue Prism) and workflow automation tools (Bizagi advantageous).

Experience integrating automated solutions with existing enterprise systems and infrastructure

Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.

Qualifications :

Matric

Degree or Diploma in Engineering, IT, Automation, or related field

Certification in BPM, Process Automation, Lean / Six Sigma, or Project Management (advantageous
