Job descriptionBachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Honours or Professional Qualification advantageous e.g., SAIPA, CIMA, ACCA). Minimum 7 years experience in accounting / finance, with at least 2 years in a senior role. Previous experience in an NGO or donor-funded environment highly advantageous. Strong knowledge of IFRS, GRAP, and donor compliance requirements. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, Pastel, Draftworks, or similar).
Duties and responsibilities :
- Oversee day-to-day accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Prepare and analyse budgets, forecasts, and donor financial reports.
- Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, and donor requirements.
- Support annual audits and maintain strong internal controls.
- Provide financial insights to management and programme teams.
- Supervise and mentor junior finance staff.
