Overview
This role is focused on proactively identifying and acquiring new clients who could make use of our foodservice equipment. The role involves visiting and engaging face-to-face with potential customers to promote and sell catering equipment, within and outside of the foodservice and hospitality industry. The ideal candidate will be passionate about and strong in building new and existing business relationships. Reports to : Sales Manager. Location : Stikland, Cape Town. Schedule : Monday - Friday, 08 : 00-16 : 30. Salary : Market related and commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities
Identify and visit new prospective clients, including restaurants, hotels, caterers, cafes, schools, and franchise groups
Conduct face-to-face meetings to present and promote catering equipment solutionsDrive the full sales cycle from lead generation to deal closureBuild and maintain a pipeline of new opportunities aligned with company targetsActively follow up on leads provided and independently generate new leadsMaintain and build relationships with existing clients and potential key accountsTrack progress of sales according to targets alongside Sales ManagerClient EngagementBuild strong, sustainable relationships with new and potential clients
Understand client needs and recommend suitable equipment solutionsProvide product knowledge, demonstrations, and consultationsAdministrative SupportIssue accurate quotes timeously
Manage all correspondence and follow ups timeouslyCoordinate with internal departments to ensure client satisfactionMaintain records of visits, interactions, and client requirementsReporting & AnalysisTrack sales metrics, conversion rates, and customer engagement statistics
Submit weekly reports to the Sales Manager detailing visits, feedback, sales pipeline / leads, secured sales and potential opportunitiesProvide weekly and monthly reports with insights and suggestions for improvementsStay up to date with market trends, competitor activity, and product developmentsAnalyse internal and external trends to identify new opportunities or underperforming areasTeam supportSupport sales team across all sales divisions and colleagues where possible

3-5 years of experience in a sales role, ideally in catering equipment or a related industryProven experience in business development and territory managementValid South African driver's license and own reliable vehicleExcellent computer skills (Emails, Word, Excel)Fluent in English; Afrikaans or an African language is advantageousFurther education in Sales / Marketing or Hospitality is a plus#J-18808-Ljbffr
