Position Overview

The Junior Internal Sales Representative position is a temporary role for four (4) months to stand in for our current Representative who will be on maternity leave. Commencement date is on the 1st of October 2025 and will terminate on the 31st of January 2026. The role will be the driving force behind the sales success. The primary focus will be building relationships with the customers, understanding their needs, and providing solutions that meet those needs. The product and service value must be effectively communicated and closing deals that will help the company reach its goals.

The Junior Internal Sales Representative will be responsible for generating revenue by selling products and / or services telephonically, or through online channels. The role requires relationship-building skills, as well as being able to identify customer needs and close deals.

Work Activities and Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers.
• Identify and qualify new sales opportunities.
• Generate leads through cold calling, e-mail campaigns, and other methods.
• Follow up on leads and inquiries.
• Handle enquiries from both internal and external customers, ensuring prompt resolution and maximum benefit
• Achieve monthly sales targets and proactively contribute to sales growth initiatives.
• Respond to customer sales enquiries promptly, preparing and submitting quotations within specified timelines.
• Provide exceptional service to telephone and online / e-mail sales clients, addressing their needs with professionalism and efficiency.
• Track and update customer information in the CRM database.
• Monitor customer accounts and identify upsell opportunities.
• Collaborate with outside the sales team to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Maintain knowledge of products and services to answer customer questions.
• Assist the sales team with sales administrative duties such as compiling quotations, processing customer orders, ensuring that payment terms are met, and organising and monitoring product deliveries.
• Assist the sales team with arranging appointments with prospective customers, for product demonstrations and presentation of the business services and products.
• Assist the sales and projects teams in the tender process with administrative duties such as research, cost estimates, etc., as and when needed.
• Manage financial reporting tasks, including processing quotes, creating invoices, and generating purchase orders.
• Assist the sales team with enquiries and support their activities as needed.
• Update internal price lists to ensure accuracy and alignment with company standards.
• Always keep the customer database up to date.

Skills Requirements :

Term : TEMPORARY | Four (4) Month | 1st October 2025 to 31st January 2025

Remuneration : R 4,500 R 6,000 Basic
