Purpose of the Role
The Area Manager – Coastal will oversee the daily operations, sales performance, and staff management of retail stores located in the coastal provinces. This role is responsible for ensuring that all stores operate efficiently, meet their sales targets, uphold brand standards, and deliver exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Retail Operations & Store Performance
- Oversee the operations of multiple retail stores within the coastal region
- Monitor and drive achievement of store sales targets, KPIs, and profitability
- Ensure stores comply with operational policies, procedures, and brand guidelines
- Conduct regular store visits to assess performance, merchandising, and customer experience
Team Leadership & Development
Lead, coach, and support Store Managers to ensure effective staff performance and developmentAssist in recruiting, onboarding, and training store-level staffImplement performance management processes and support HR initiatives across storesFoster a positive and customer-focused culture across all storesCustomer Experience & Brand Integrity
Ensure all stores deliver consistent, premium-level customer service aligned with the brandSupport local execution of national marketing and promotional campaignsMaintain high standards of visual merchandising and in-store presentationStock & Inventory Management
Collaborate with Planning and Logistics to manage stock levels, replenishment, and shrinkage controlOversee stocktakes and ensure inventory accuracy across all stores in the regionReporting & Analysis
Provide weekly and monthly reports on store performance, sales trends, and regional challengesAnalyse performance metrics and develop strategies to address underperforming areasRequirements
5+ years’ experience in multi-store retail management , preferably in a premium or lifestyle brandProven track record of managing and motivating diverse retail teams across locationsStrong commercial acumen and ability to analyse sales data and operational reportsExcellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skillsHigh attention to detail and commitment to customer experience excellenceProficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and retail POS systemsValid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively within the coastal regionTertiary qualification in Retail, Business, or related field preferred#J-18808-Ljbffr
