Senior Accountant

Job Purpose :

Responsible for preparing financial reports, performing account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, preparing tax returns, assisting with audit preparations, and performing other accounting duties as assigned.

Minimum education (essential) :

Chartered Accountant CA(SA)

Minimum applicable experience (years) :

3 - 7 post article years

Required nature of experience :

• Commercial experience
• Full bookkeeping experience up to trial balance (Including debtors management, creditors management, general ledger)
• Tax compliance
• Statutory compliance
• Financial Reporting
• Month end procedure management
• Team management
• Beneficial if articles were completed at an accounting firm

Skills and Knowledge (essential) :

Microsoft Excel

Financial Reporting 10%

Month End Procedure Management 50%

Team Monitoring 10%

General Financial Administration 20%

Compliance 5%

QMS 5%

Ensure that QMS guidelines are adhered to.

Ensure that all supporting documents are kept to date.

Ensure that all processes are kept relevant.
