Procurement Officer

Our client in the manufacturing industry , based in Isando, Johannesburg , is seeking an experienced Procurement Officer to join their dynamic team. This role is responsible for efficiently sourcing and procuring materials, equipment, and services required by the company, ensuring they meet quality standards and are acquired at the most competitive prices. The position plays a vital role in supporting operational continuity and fulfilling customer requirements in a timely and cost‑effective manner.

Requirements

• Relevant qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain, or Purchasing Management
• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a procurement or buying role within a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Proven negotiation and supplier management skills
• Strong understanding of procurement processes, supplier evaluation, and contract management
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and ERP systems
• Strong attention to detail, organisational, and time management abilities
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
