Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a skilled and experienced Financial Controller for a distinguished food and beverage consultancy based in the Western Cape. This key position requires a financially astute professional with a solid background in hospitality and retail, including hotels and restaurants. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with strong organisational and leadership abilities.
Minimum Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (CIMA, CA(SA), or equivalent preferred)
- 5+ years of financial management or controlling experience
- Essential : Previous experience in hospitality, hotels, restaurants, or related industries
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in financial software and reporting tools
- In-depth knowledge of business financials, taxation, and labour regulations
- High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
- Proven ability to manage teams and establish effective financial systems
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and manage all financial operations across the consultancy and its projectsPrepare, monitor, and maintain financial reports, budgets, and forecastsEnsure accurate and timely submission of VAT, UIF, and other statutory requirementsManage payroll processes in line with labour lawsOversee creditors, debtors, and invoicing functionsImplement and monitor robust internal controls and financial proceduresConduct cash flow management and cost analysis to support efficiencyPresent management accounts and financial insights to stakeholdersLiaise with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodiesSupport senior leadership with strategic financial planning and decision-makingThis is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented, solutions-driven professional with a passion for hospitality and the food and beverage industry to contribute to the success of a growing consultancy.
