Our client, a leading global provider of equipment and services for the energy industry, is seeking a fully qualified and experienced Financial Controller to join their dynamic team. In this pivotal role, the successful incumbent will be responsible for overseeing the full range of finance functions within one (or several) of their African entities, including accounting, tax, and treasury.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Optimize and oversee all accounting processes, including AR, AP, cash, costing & inventory, and general accounting.
- Responsible for preparation of statutory financials as well as monthly, quarterly, yearly financials
- Manage the relationship with internal auditors and statutory auditors.
- Provide Operations with all financial information and analysis to support management decisions.
- Participate to implementation and execution of corporate treasury policies and projects
- Analyze FX exposures
- Implement cash management products,
- Overseas in daily management of cash and debt, and handle routine and daily banking matters
- Manage cash flow forecast to anticipate cash situations and manage such situations.
- Responsible of the Tax processes to make sure they are optimized and provide accurate and on time information.
- Responsible of preparation of monthly, quarterly, yearly tax information included in the Financials
- Responsible of preparation of Tax Returns that meet the local Tax requirements
- Make sure all direct and indirect Taxes payments are done on time according to local rules.
- Manage the relationship with Tax auditors
- Identify and analyse potential improvements in the accounting processes
- Assign individual and collective targets to a team of direct (or indirect) reports to have proper results on Accounting, Tax, Treasury functions.
- Identify the needs for the team : needs, training needs, salary proposals
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting / finance, or Chartered Accountant qualification (with at least 3 years' articles completed)Minimum 3 years' experience in IFRS accounting and tax returns review, ideally gained through a combination of audit and multinational finance rolesAdvanced proficiency in MS Office, particularly ExcelExperience within auditing will be a positive.Skills Required
