Responsibilities
- Execute and support packaging projects for the SA Foods and frontier markets
- Execute packaging projects under innovation, Productivity & Sustainability agenda and build future pipeline along with manager
- Prepare SOPs and Design of Experiments for quality execution of projects in guidance with the Pkg manager as per PepsiCo requirements
- Support supply chain and other business functions with packaging TBS
- Ensure compliance to TSG, SFTS processes , Documentation
- Influence stakeholders - GP, Operations, QC for achieving results
- Create and maintain packaging specifications that are compliant with PepsiCo R&D best practices
Qualifications
Food Technology / Science, Consumer Science, B.Sc., B.Eng. or M.Sc. degree in material, chemical or packaging related field with minimum 2-3 years in a Technical or R&D role within a manufacturing environment preferredIPSA packaging diploma advantageousEffective interpersonal, Influencing and communication skills with a proactive and innovative approach to problem solving and new design implementationDemonstrated technical, analytical and project management skills, with the ability to plan and prioritize workloadsA good understanding of R&D and product development disciplines, as well as regulatory requirements is desirableFluent in English and computer skills e.g. MS Word, MS Excel“PepsiCo is an Equal Opportunity Employer in line with the Employment Equity Act"
