OVERVIEWThe primary role of the Sales Executive is to generate advertising spend for JCDecaux driven from client direct marketing and procurement departments in South Africa. To increase OOH share of ad spend versus all media within SA and to ensure that JCDecaux is the primary beneficiary of such ad spend. This role specifically involves selling directly to clients.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- A minimum of 5 years of sales experience
- Media Literacy is advantageous
- Knowledge of Cape Town's media landscape and players is advantageous
- Drivers Licence and own vehicle – Non-Negotiable
- Previous client services liaison experience is an added advantage
- Competency with Microsoft programs (Excel and PowerPoint)
- Business Negotiation and Presentation Skills
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Meet / Achieve individual monthly Sales TargetManage portfolio by renewing contracts 3 months prior to expiryUpsell all existing clients and grow portfolio by cold calling on new clientsWork within a team to achieve the overall departmental Sales targetLiaise and present to all direct clientele on all levels seeking new businessTo sell to a cross-section of the industry from directors to marketing executives to marketing directorsMaintain a continual high level of servicePromote the Company and offer excellent after-sales serviceMust achieve quarterly and annual KPI targetsAttend sales meetings at least once a week, which may continue after hoursAttend workshops, functions and any other company-related excursions that may continue after normal working hoursUphold the Company image and retain confidentiality at all times – Work within the JCDecaux Code of EthicsAct as an ambassador for JCDecauxConstantly and proactively present strategic OOH solutionsRelationship Management
Regular client visitsBuild strong relationships with clientsDevelop relationships internally and externally with key stakeholdersAssisting the Sales and Marketing Heads to identify opportunities for maximising AdspendFinance
Respond quickly to any enquiry from other subsidiariesAssist in collection of outstanding moniesKeep credits and suspensions to a minimumAttention to detail, appreciate cost control and budgetsWork within the JCDecaux limits of authorityResponsible Management of Media Contract and ProductionKEY CONTACTS
