YOUTH CARE WORKER

Overview

Position : Youth Care Worker at Walton Academy for Growth and Change in DeFuniak Springs, Florida. The organization provides residential treatment and supports youth through mental health and substance abuse services, offering a range of skills programs such as Carpentry / Home Building Institute and Culinary Arts.

Pay and Schedule

Pay : Starting at $19 per hour. Schedule includes 4 hours of guaranteed overtime per pay period.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour security and supervision to ensure the safety of Youth.
• Monitor and document behaviors; supervise Youth during Sports and Recreation time.
• Assist and mentor Youth as they learn and develop within the program.

Schedule Details

Youth Care Workers currently work 3.5 days per week. Example : Shift 7 : 00 am–8 : 00 pm on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday; 8 hours on Wednesday; this provides 4 hours of built-in overtime per pay period and 3.5 days off each week.
