We are looking for a Business Development Manager to join Endress+Hauser South Africa. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for country Channel Management, identifying new business opportunities, maintaining relationships with existing customers, and driving growth initiatives. This role requires a blend of technical knowledge and business acumen to effectively communicate engineering solutions and value propositions to prospective clients.
Which tasks will you perform?
- Manage and support country representatives and resellers.
- Assist country representatives with new business development in identified markets.
- Develop and maintain strong, long‑lasting relationships with representatives or resellers (channel partners).
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned channel partners.
- Conduct regular business reviews with partners to ensure mutual growth and success.
- Develop and execute joint business plans with partners to drive sales.
- Ensure partners are well‑equipped with the latest product information and sales tools.
- Monitor partner performance and take corrective actions as necessary.
- Assist partners in creating and implementing effective sales and marketing strategies.
- Analyze sales data and market insights to identify growth opportunities and areas for improvement.
- Compile and manage area sales forecast in accordance with the sales process.
- Implement and drive industry strategies in the countries of responsibility.
- Competitor analysis in customer base including product range and strengths.
- Management and resolution of customer complaints in the area with ASM.
- Achieve sales territory revenue forecast and individual account sales targets.
What do we expect from you?
National Diploma in Industrial Instrumentation or,N6 Certificate plus Trade Test Certificate in Instrumentation Mechanician or,8-10 years in instrumentation sales or business development.Proven track record for technical sales, in an instrumentation or automation environment preferably in Africa.Proven experience in new business development.Working experience with representatives and / or resellers (channel partner management).A formal qualification in sales management.Knowledge of SAP or other ERP system.Experience in the use of CRM software in the sales process.Valid passport.Valid driver’s licence.What can you expect from us?
