This PR Account Manager , will play a pivotal role in driving clients' success by strategically managing their public relations campaigns and maintaining strong relationships.
The role will oversee the development, execution, and management of strategic PR campaigns for a portfolio of clients.
As well as, collaborate closely with clients, media outlets, and internal teams to ensure the effective implementation of PR strategies, deliver measurable results, and maintain client satisfaction.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, understanding their goals, needs, and industry landscape.
- Develop and execute comprehensive PR strategies that align with clients' objectives, positioning them effectively in the media and public eye.
- Create and manage media relations, cultivating relationships with key journalists, editors, and influencers to secure media coverage across various channels.
- Generate compelling press releases, pitches, and other PR materials, ensuring accurate messaging and consistent brand representation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including content creators, designers, and digital marketers, to integrate PR efforts with overall marketing strategies.
- Monitor industry trends, news cycles, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities and potential risks for clients.
- Analyze and report on campaign performance metrics, providing regular updates and insights to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Manage client expectations, budgets, and project timelines, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality work.
- Participate in new business development, including proposal writing, presentations, and client pitches.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.Proven experience (5+ years) in PR account management or related roles, preferably within an agency environment.Strong understanding of the South African media landscape, with established relationships and connections.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and pitches.Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and implement creative PR strategies that align with clients' business goals.Proficiency in using PR insight tools, media databases, and analytics platforms.COMPETENCIES :
