Technical Sales Engineer

The client is a leading provider of humidification and dehumidification solutions in Southern Africa, distributing global Condair products. They specialise in technical air quality systems across multiple sectors, including food and beverage, data centres, healthcare, printing, and agriculture. The company combines engineering expertise with hands-on service, offering long-term solutions and opportunities for career growth in technical sales.

You will own the full sales cycle, from spec-in with Consulting Engineers to quoting, negotiating, and closing deals. Manage and maintain a clean pipeline in CRM, conduct site visits, and coordinate handover to service teams. Focus on key sectors including food and beverage, pharma, data centres, cold rooms, museums, and agriculture, delivering tailored technical solutions and long-term client relationships.

Job Experience and Skills Required :

• 36 years technical or industrial B2B sales (HVAC, air quality, water treatment, or similar CAPEX).
• Ability to read technical drawings, understand psychometrics, and apply HVAC basics.
• Proficient in CRM systems (Pipedrive or similar) and producing written proposals.
• Valid drivers licence and willingness to travel nationally (~30%).
• Diploma / BTech (Mechanical / Electrical) or trade qualification; strong consultative sales record; and tender / RFQ experience advantageous.
