📍 Greylingstad, Mpumalanga

💰 Salary : R25,000 per month

We are looking for an experienced Payroll and Benefits Administrator to join our team in Greylingstad, Mpumalanga. This role is essential in ensuring accurate payroll processing, benefits administration, compliance with statutory obligations, and providing reliable support to both employees and management.

You will play a key role in bridging Finance and HR functions, requiring confidentiality, precision, and strong collaboration skills.

Key Responsibilities

Payroll Processing & Administration

  • Maintain accurate payroll records (hires, changes, terminations).
  • Process monthly payroll, including salaries, bonuses, overtime, and leave.
  • Ensure statutory deductions (PAYE, UIF, SDL, benefits) are compliant and accurate.
  • Generate and distribute payslips and IRP5s.
  • Address payroll queries professionally and on time.
  • Submit EMP201 returns and ensure payroll approvals and variance reporting.
  • Compile exit documentation (UI19, letters of service, salary schedules).

Payroll Accounting & Reporting

  • Allocate payroll costs accurately.
  • Support Finance with monthly / annual payroll reporting and audits.
  • Assist with Employment Equity and Skills Development reporting.
  • Benefits Administration

  • Manage Medical Aid, Provident Fund, and other benefits.
  • Submit enrolments, changes, terminations, and withdrawals.
  • Assist employees with benefit-related queries.
  • Employee Records & Onboarding

  • Maintain digital and physical employee records.
  • Capture and update employee data in payroll and ERS systems.
  • Assist with onboarding processes and document management.
  • Systems & Compliance

  • Operate Sage VIP Payroll & ERS systems.
  • Ensure compliance with SARS, BCEA, and other labour laws.
  • Support EE & Skills Development modules in the payroll system.
  • Ad-Hoc HR & Finance Support

  • Assist during audits and compliance checks.
  • Conduct payroll information sessions with staff.
  • Provide employment confirmations and other admin support.
  • Minimum Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Finance / Accounting.
  • 35 years payroll processing and accounting experience.
  • Sage Payroll Professional (Online) and ERS Biometric systems knowledge (advantageous).
  • Strong knowledge of SA payroll legislation and tax regulations.
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, reconciliations).
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
