Key Responsibilities :
- Supervise assigned team responsibilities during staff absences due to illness, leave, or training, including full management of workloads such as re-quotes, proposals, and operational tasks.
- Assist in the development and management of agent and hosted educational bookings in collaboration with the Sales team.
- Support the implementation and testing of systems and procedures.
- Follow up on provisional bookings for relevant teams.
- Re-engage with previously inactive leads during quieter periods.
- Load bookings for consultants during peak seasons.
- Provide support on Small Group Journeys.
- Assist in sourcing new suppliers and products to enhance offerings and drive creativity within the Groups department.
- Occasionally accompany group travel to assist with on-the-ground operations.
Knowledge Required :
In-depth understanding of the tourism industry, including travel channels, destination management, and client expectations.Familiarity with travel terms and conditions, market-specific knowledge, and products across Southern and East Africa.Basic business acumen to contribute to strategic planning and commercial decision-making.Awareness of crisis management and emergency response protocols.Skills Required :
