The Senior Meetings and Events Coordinator will take ownership of planning, coordinating, and executing meetings, conferences, and special events, ensuring every guest experience is seamless and memorable.
Critical Criteria (Requirements)
- Matric certificate (Grade 12); hospitality or events management qualification advantageous
- Minimum 35 years experience in meetings, events, or conference coordination within a 4 / 5-star hotel or luxury resort
- Proven experience managing multiple events simultaneously, from concept to execution
- Strong knowledge of event management software and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Excellent organisational, time management, and attention-to-detail skills
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a client-focused approach
- Ability to work under pressure and manage challenging situations with professionalism
- Must hold a valid South African ID

Duties & Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, and execute meetings, conferences, and events according to client specificationsPrepare event proposals, contracts, function sheets, and timelinesLiaise with internal departments (F&B, Front Office, Housekeeping, Technical) to ensure smooth event executionManage set-up, breakdown, and on-the-day coordination to guarantee flawless service deliveryMaintain accurate records of event bookings, budgets, and client communicationsMonitor guest satisfaction and implement service improvements based on feedbackSupport the Events Manager in developing and promoting event offeringsAttend site inspections and liaise with external vendors and suppliers as requiredEnsure compliance with all safety, security, and hotel policies during eventsPackage on Offer
