Join a team responsible for delivering flawless events and meetings in one of Cape Towns most iconic luxury hotels. The Senior Meetings and Events Coordinator will take ownership of planning, coordinating, and executing meetings, conferences, and special events, ensuring every guest experience is seamless and memorable.

Critical Criteria (Requirements)

  • Matric certificate (Grade 12); hospitality or events management qualification advantageous
  • Minimum 35 years experience in meetings, events, or conference coordination within a 4 / 5-star hotel or luxury resort
  • Proven experience managing multiple events simultaneously, from concept to execution
  • Strong knowledge of event management software and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Excellent organisational, time management, and attention-to-detail skills
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a client-focused approach
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage challenging situations with professionalism
  • Must hold a valid South African ID

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute meetings, conferences, and events according to client specifications
  • Prepare event proposals, contracts, function sheets, and timelines
  • Liaise with internal departments (F&B, Front Office, Housekeeping, Technical) to ensure smooth event execution
  • Manage set-up, breakdown, and on-the-day coordination to guarantee flawless service delivery
  • Maintain accurate records of event bookings, budgets, and client communications
  • Monitor guest satisfaction and implement service improvements based on feedback
  • Support the Events Manager in developing and promoting event offerings
  • Attend site inspections and liaise with external vendors and suppliers as required
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, security, and hotel policies during events
