What you will be doing :

• Support the financial year-end close, prepare annual financial statements for both individual entities and the Group, and address all internal and external audit findings. A key goal is to achieve unqualified audit opinions and deliver audits within budget and on time.
• Provide strong financial management for the Group, including preparing budgets, and generating timely and relevant financial forecasts and management reports to support effective decision-making.
• Supporting the Group Finance team and projects, while also developing and implementing new finance policies and procedures to address audit findings. A focus on the automation and digitization of processes and systems is required to improve efficiency.
• Handle all aspects of banking support, including managing beneficiaries, releasing payments, cash flow forecasting, and securing Reserve Bank approvals for international banking. Additionally, you will ensure full compliance with all relevant legislation, accounting, and regulatory requirements.

What our client is looking for :

A Chartered Accountant (CA(SA))

10+ years of post-qualification experience, including a previous senior accounting position.

Strong leadership, management, and project management skills. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator, planner, and organizer with a collaborative interpersonal style and a focus on customer service.

A strong sense of personal accountability, a results-oriented approach, and a determined drive.

The ability to provide highly detailed, analytical solutions. The role also requires a rule-abiding and risk-averse approach, supported by effective soft influencing skills.

A commitment to coaching, knowledge sharing, and the ability to effectively implement and monitor internal controls.

Must identify with the client's vision, mission, and values.
