Job descriptionIdentifying and researching new business opportunities Cultivating a strong commercial pipeline and secure new customers Building and maintaining customer relationships and convert into repeat business Negotiating and closing deals Onboard new customers successfully, adhering to SOP, SLA, KPI and RFQ requirements Collaborate and work closely with the operations team to ensure that a customer is on-boarded and serviced to the highest level Developing a business development strategy focused on financial gain Managing key account relationships Exceed targets set in terms of generating revenue for the company Update and maintain customer interaction data in sales CRM tool Analyse market trends, identifying potential target markets, and researching leads We may retain your personal information in our database for future matching of suitable opportunities We may contact you when suitable opportunities arise The information you have provided to us is true, correct and up to date
Leader in Supply Chain and Logistics Solutions is looking for a Business Development Manager (BDM) who will focus on driving business growth by identifying new sales opportunities, maintaining and building relationships. The successful candidate will be a natural hunter with a passion for sales and will be responsible for bringing in new business and play a crucial role in expanding our organisation’s market reach and increase revenue.
Minimum Qualifications
- Matric and tertiary qualification in Business / Sales / Supply Chain
- Minimum 5 years’ experience selling supply chain and logistics solutions
- Proven experience in a commercial or business development role, preferably within a logistics or supply chain environment
- Knowledge of customs, SARS and other regulatory requirements
- Experience with tender applications and secure tender businessSolid understanding of logistics principles, processes, and best practices
- MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, (Outlook)
- Own vehicle and valid driver’s license
- Clear credit and criminal records
- Verified References
