Main Responsibilities :
Commercial Leadership :
- Define and execute a winning go-to-market strategy, aligning product-market fit with industry pain points.
- Own full P&L of the business unit with responsibility for revenue growth, cost control, and profitability.
- Partially create and grow the sales and business development teams, ensuring high-performance culture and accountability.
Strategic Sales Management :
Rebuild and implement a high-impact sales strategy (B2B, channel, and strategic accounts).Identify and penetrate new verticals including logistics, public safety, commercial property, and municipalities.Establish scalable sales processes, CRM discipline, forecasting, and performance metrics. Also ensure disciplined adherence to these processesBusiness Growth and Development :
Review the current product and solution offering and, identifying adjacent opportunities and potential partnerships.Engage and nurture strategic customer relationships, acting as a trusted advisor to decision-makers.Work closely with product and technology teams to influence product roadmap based on market insights.Market Positioning & Thought Leadership :
Elevate the companys market presence and thought leadership in the ANPR, smart mobility, and security SaaS space.Represent the company at industry events, panels, and client briefings.Requirements :
10+ years in sales and or general management roles within SaaS, security tech, smart city, or B2B technology sectors.Relevant degree or diplomaIndividual needs to have experience in building a software / solution businessDemonstrated success and experience in scaling a business.Strong commercial acumen with direct experience managing budgets, revenue targets, and teams.Expertise in solution selling, enterprise sales, and building consultative sales strategies.Understanding of South African public and private sector sales cycles.Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to balance strategy and execution.Experience in ANPR, CCTV, access control, vehicle tracking or related technologies is advantageous.Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.Resilient, adaptable, and energised by challenge and ownership
