Job descriptionBachelor Degree in Sales / Marketing, Supply Chain or similar. At least 5 years\' sales experience in a similar role and / or a Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, is preferred. Proven experience in a commercial or business development role, preferably within a logistics or supply chain environment, A proven sales track record is essential. Sales and negotiation skills. Demonstrate an understanding of the target market; and of the competitive environment. Strategic thinking and planning. Analytical skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Identifying and researching new business opportunities : Analyse market trends, identify potential target markets, and research leads, identifying potentials. Develop and implement business development strategies : Create plans to achieve growth objectives, including identifying new markets and client needs. Building and maintaining Client Relationships : Network, attend industry events, and nurture relationships with all stakeholders. Monitoring Sales progress and Performance : Track key metrics, analyse data, and make adjustments to strategies in order to meet goals. Collaborating with internal teams : Work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Product Development teams to ensure alignment and successful project execution. Negotiating and Closing Deals : Communicate and negotiate to secure new business and partnerships. Administration : Capture customer engagement data into Sales Mobility platform. Proper, efficient and effective use of the Sales Mobility platform. All relevant information regarding the engagement to be captured. Efficient, Effective, Quality reporting on all sales and marketing aspects of the business. Ensure all necessary guidelines strictly adhered to. MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). Generating sales, New Business Development, Supply Chain. A positive attitude. Good business sense deep understanding of marketing principles. Negotiation skills. Plenty of initiative. Motivation for Sales. Knowledge of the target market and industry trends.

Our client, a well established supply chain and logistics company, division of a JSE listed Group, seeks two Business Development Managers for their Cape Town offices.
Job Purpose
- To focus on driving business growth by identifying new opportunities, building relationships, and developing strategies.
- Play a crucial role in expanding the organisation’s market reach and increase the revenue.
- Involved in all aspects of business development, from market research and lead generation to negotiating deals and managing client relationships.
