The Role
We’re hiring our first Inside Sales Account Executive to help build and scale our B2B presence within the independent wholesale eyewear market. This hybrid role combines business development and account management and serves as a cornerstone position on our new go-to-market (GTM) team.
As the first hire in this vertical, you’ll have autonomy, ownership, and a direct impact on shaping how we engage and service thousands of accounts. You’ll work closely with leadership to define and execute the outbound and account management strategy.
What You’ll Do
- Account Ownership & Growth : Manage and grow a portfolio of independent B2B customers, including Optometrists, Opticians, and Ophthalmologists.
- Virtual Relationship Building : Develop strong virtual relationships by checking in on account performance, introducing new product solutions, and providing support to drive retention and growth.
- Acquisition Strategy : Design and execute outreach strategies to acquire new accounts via telesales, email, and digital engagement (no door-to-door).
- Sales Cycle Design : Create a strategic inside sales cycle tailored to each account’s growth potential and value.
- Performance Tracking : Meet KPIs using our performance dashboards and established account playbooks.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration : Partner with marketing and operations to tailor offers, support initiatives, and manage complex customer issues (e.g., returns, warranties).
- Process Building : Co-create scalable sales and account management frameworks alongside Wholesale leadership.
Who You Are
Experience in Sales : 3-6 years in sales, account management, or business development—ideally in D2C-adjacent B2B industries (eyewear, dental, veterinary, private healthcare, pharma, FMCG, or CPG).Target Achievement : Proven success meeting quarterly targets and managing within budgets.B2B Acumen : Experience selling into small businesses, independent professionals, or practices.Modern Sales Approach : Customer-focused, with an emphasis on marketing support, education, and service.Builder Mindset : Strategic thinker excited to build processes, playbooks, and teams—more of a builder than an operator.Soft Skills : Excellent communicator, self-motivated, adaptable, and resourceful.Remote Comfort : Confident working remotely and engaging customers virtually.Nice to Have
