Job descriptionA leading consulting firm is looking for an experienced Financial Accountant to join their team in Cullinan. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to ensure the accuracy and compliance of the company's financial records. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing financial statements, managing ledgers, and supporting audits. If you have a solid background in accounting and a proactive mindset, we want to hear from you! Prepare and maintain accurate financial records in line with IFRS for SME's / GAAP. Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements / management accounts. Manage general ledger accounting, journal entries, and reconciliations. Monitor accounts payable, receivable, and fixed assets. Ensure compliance with tax, VAT, and other statutory requirements. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation. Identify process improvements and ensure financial controls are followed. Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights for decision-making. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional qualification (SAIPA / SAICA articles) is preferred. 3 – 5 years of relevant accounting experience. Strong knowledge of IFRS for SME's, tax, and compliance regulations. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Pastel, Oracle, QuickBooks). Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills. Accounting / Financial Services jobs
