Site Agent

Introduction

Our client, a building construction company located in Gauteng is looking for dynamic Site Agent (Building) to join their team, to start ASAP.

Duties & Responsibilities

Main purpose of the position : Responsible for ensuring the successful execution of the project according to the approved plans, specifications and timelines.

Oversee on-site construction activities, ensuring that projects are completed safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.Key Performance Areas : Formulate construction plans including safety, QA, contract admin and sub-contract management. Lead the retender processes in conjunction with tender and construction teams. Initiate procurement plans and assists with better buying with the team.Formulate the project programme and info required, i.e., schedules, long lead schedule, sub-contractors, etc.Asses, evaluate and include detailed programmes from sub-contractors and specialist trades.Manage and update the programmes.Manage and supervise contract from start to finish.Timeous procurement of all resources.Manage project schedules.Monitor work progress and implement correction actions to ensure project is completed on time.Ensure all work is carried out safely and in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, enforce compliance and contract necessary training.Ensure all work is carried out to the required quality standards, conduct quality inspections and address related issues.Manage project budgets by monitoring costs to ensure project is completed within budget.Manage and supervise subcontractorspile financial and progress reports.Behavioural Competencies : Good communication skillsLeadershipProblem-solving OrganisationDetail-orientedAble to work under pressureDecision-making skillsAnalyticalLegal Requirements : No criminal recordValid Driver's licence

Desired Experience & Qualification

Experience : Proven experience as a Site Agent / Manager in building construction projects. Thorough understanding of the conditions of the Contract Agreements on the contracts assigned to them. Thorough understanding of the compilation of the tenders of the contracts assigned to them. Worked on more than 1 building project to the value of R25 mil.

Education : Grade 12 Bachelor's Degree / National Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field. Requirements Computer software : Microsoft Office Suite CCS
