Join a leading global non-profit organization in the medical field as a Social Media Coordinator based in Cape Town, where you'll play a vital role in raising awareness and educating the public about blood stem cell donation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage community engagement across platforms by responding to queries and addressing concerns.
- Create relevant content to meet the needs and concerns of the community.
- Conceptualize, create, and publish engaging digital content.
- Coordinate interviews with patients, donors, and stakeholders for storytelling.
- Assist in influencer and brand partnership activities.
- Attend donor drives and stakeholder events to shoot content and provide support.
- Support the rollout of local content for international social media campaigns.
- Write and manage patient and donor content.
- Assist with budgeting and other ad hoc activities.
REQUIREMENTS
A relevant 3-year National Diploma; a Bachelor's degree in Journalism, PR, or related fields is advantageous.At least 2 years of community management experience, with strong writing skills, social media expertise, multitasking ability, news sense (journalism is a plus), and proficiency in videography and editing.Data analytics skills are a plus.Own car and valid driver's license.Willingness to travel nationally for content creation, training, and meetings.Excellent communication, editing, and writing skills.Project management skills.Passionate about community engagement and making a meaningful impact.Appointment will be made in line with the organization's Employment Equity Plan. Preference will be given to Coloured and African males; however, applications from all designated groups are encouraged.
The proposed salary range is R30,000 - R35,000 per month, with the final offer depending on qualifications, skills, and experience.
