Lyceum College seeks a dynamic Lecturer and Programme Coordinator to oversee and teach in the BA in Licensing Practice and Diploma in Public Administration. This role combines academic leadership, programme management and teaching excellence to ensure our qualifications remain compliant, innovative, and industry-relevant.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage the BA in Licensing Practice and Diploma in Public Administration.
- Deliver high-quality lectures, tutorials and academic support across both programmes.
- Lead curriculum design, review and alignment with CHE, DHET and SAQA standards.
- Supervise undergraduate research and applied projects.
- Manage Independent Contractors and ensure quality in teaching delivery.
- Ensure compliance with accreditation and regulatory frameworks.
- Support student engagement, retention and success.
Requirements
A Master’s degree in Public Administration, Public Management, Governance, Political Science, or a related field.At least 3 years lecturing experience in higher education with proven programme coordination expertise.Strong knowledge of South Africa’s higher education regulatory framework.Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a distance learning environment.A PhD / DAdmin will be an added advantage.Skills and Competencies
Academic leadership and curriculum innovation.Strong teaching and student engagement skills.Proficiency with digital teaching platforms and online learning tools.Excellent organisational and communication skills.Research and publication experience beneficial.Education
