Senior Bookkeeper

Minimum Experience

• Matric
• Formal Qualification would be advantageous
• Valid Drivers License & Own Vehicle
• MS Office, Excel (Advanced) and Sage Evolution / Pastel
• Bookkeeping to trial balance
• Preparing financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing accounting for information
• Foreign Currencies Experience
• Monitoring for variances from the projected budget
• Full Debtors and Creditors function
• BEE Knowledge highly advantageous
• Recording daily financial transactions, by posting and verifying
• Updating a general ledger and maintaining a balanced general ledger
• Assist in running payroll journals and recons
• Establishing different GL accounts
• Maintaining subsidiary accounts by posting, verifying, allocating transactions and balancing the accounts
• Advising management on compliance needs
• Advanced understanding of accounting principles
• Assist in preparation for annual audits
• VAT returns, debtors, creditors, SARS efiling, VAT recons, VAT201 submission
• Banking and banking reconciliations
• Payment allocations
• Intercompany loan accounts
