My client is looking for a seasoned Head of IT or IT Manager to work with Senior Management and implement the established strategy for the Technology Team that is aligned with the company’s business goals, especially that of an outsourced IT service model. You will lead and oversee the IT team in implementing, maintaining, and managing the organisation's technology infrastructure and systems.
Key Accountabilities
- Quality : All employees are required to comply with the company quality standards—ensure that SOPs governing their area of responsibility are adhered to and kept up to date. The Head of Technology is responsible for developing and reviewing Technology Policies and Procedures.
- Documentation : Ensure documentation of all systems that have been developed in-house.
- Governance & Compliance : Embrace King IV Code and work towards ISO27001 compliance to ensure technology compliance and good governance.
- Technology Leadership : Provide leadership and guidance to the technology team, ensuring the team is motivated, productive, and aligned with the overall technology strategy.
- Technology Operations : Oversee day-to-day technology department operations, ensure smooth functioning of systems and infrastructure, and troubleshoot issues including telecommunications platforms, hardware, internet, networks, and servers.
- Resource Allocation : Manage budget and resources for technology projects, including hardware, software, and personnel. Make informed recommendations to optimise resource allocation and maximize ROI in conjunction with the CFO and Co-CEO.
- Project Management : Oversee technology projects to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery meeting quality standards.
- Innovation and Research : Stay current with industry trends and evaluate how new technologies can improve products, services, or processes for a competitive advantage.
- Collaboration : Work with other departments (e.g., marketing, sales, product development) to understand technology needs and align initiatives accordingly.
- Performance Metrics : Define and track KPIs related to technology operations, projects, and overall performance; use data-driven insights to improve efficiency.
- Change Management : Facilitate technological changes and ensure smooth transitions to new processes, tools, or systems.
- Low code / no code : Embrace low code / no code technologies as a first priority.
- Pro Code : Embrace pro code technologies as a second priority. Provide standards guidance, perform code reviews, and assist with code development when staff or outsourced resources are unavailable.
- IT Security : Collaborate with an outsourced partner to maintain IT security in coordination with the Head of Quality.
- Salesforce Implementation : Act as the technical point of contact to ensure timely delivery of integration layers between company data and Salesforce.
- Data Management and Reporting : Work with other departments to meet reporting needs using the company-wide BI tool.
Minimum Required Qualifications & Experience
Education : A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.Platforms Experience : Implementing and / or maintaining the Salesforce platform is highly advantageous.Quality Experience : In-depth knowledge of ISO 27001 standards and information security best practices is highly advantageous.Infrastructure Support : Networking, server support.Development Platform : Knowledge of HCL Notes / Domino is highly advantageous.Server Operating Systems : Windows Server and Linux knowledge is highly advantageous.Skills Required
