Maintenance Manager

Overview

Plettenberg Bay : My client, an iconic luxury property in Plettenberg Bay, is seeking to appoint a Maintenance Manager to join their dynamic team. Candidates with a post-school technical qualification and at least 3–5 years’ experience in a five-star hotel or similar high-end environment will be considered.

Purpose of the Role

To take full responsibility for the upkeep and seamless operation of an iconic Plettenberg Bay property by directing all maintenance activities, carrying out routine repairs, and leading a small technical team to ensure the venue remains in immaculate condition.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and supervise all preventative and reactive maintenance across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building systems
• Inspect facilities regularly, identify issues, and implement effective solutions
• Oversee servicing and maintenance of refrigeration units and air-conditioning systems
• Manage relationships with external contractors and service providers, ensuring quality and cost control
• Source, purchase, and maintain adequate stock of essential maintenance supplies
• Monitor and manage the maintenance budget while maintaining accurate records
