Health and Safety Officer – Location : Durban – Industry : FMCG
Purpose of the role : Responsible for the management of the Health and Safety programme as well as ensuring full compliance of the Food Safety management programme.
Qualifications
- Grade 12
- Health and Safety training an advantage (SHEMTRAC)
- First Aid Fire Fighting
- National Diploma in Safety Management or Relevant qualification

Administration
Assess and Manage all operational critical control areas to ensure all SHE and Food Safety criteria are metManage administrative functions and proactively prepare all required documentation for the various AuditsEnsure that company policies are adhered to at all timesManage and ensure that all crew members adhere to the prescribed SOPsEnsure all reports are compiled and reported on timeouslyEnsure that KPI targets are achieved and in line with the prescribed SLAsMonitor and report on daily Fleet and Facilities temperatureAssist with stock take and investigationsRisk Management
Custodian of the MYOSH and I-Comply systemsManage security facility access and alarm systemsWarehouse inventory and equipment safetyFleet security and documentation controlWaste and utilities managementContractor ControlInduction of Visitors / SuppliersFacilities Management
Daily Water Meter reportingDaily maintenance and upkeep of the Warehouse FacilityBi-annual Alarm / Security testing and code changesAnnual Thermal Imaging of all DB BoardsEarth Leakage Testing of all DB Boards Once every 3 monthsDaily freezer walls and doors inspectionEnsure cold chain temperature measures are in place taking corrective action on deviationsDaily racking inspections and annual racking certification. Ensure all damages to racking and other incidents are attended to immediately corrective action taken incident accident investigations completed and recommendations reported to ManagementReport and monitor the MHE machineryHealth and Safety
