Application Question(s) :

• Do you understand this is a full time job working 8am to 5pm, 5 days a week with show days on most weekends? You will be required to attend all company organised events, meetings, exposés etc. You will also be expected to sit show days over the weekend.
• Do you have a fully functioning smart phone? You will be required to spend a large portion of your day on the phone, canvassing and cold calling. Being comfortable talking to strangers is critical. Being available on your phone is critical. Responding to Whatsapps and sms’s is essential.
• Do you understand this is a commission only position? This means you will only earn on your sales that transfer. This means your earning potential is up to you. There is also no ceiling on the amount you can earn. Do you know that there is a potential 4-6 months delay between signing a deal and receiving the commission. Much of this time delay can be shortened by regular follow-ups with the conveyancer and clients after a deal is signed
• As a permanent employee we as the employer are required by law to deduct all taxes before you receive your portion of the commission. Are you a citizen of South Africa or in possession of a valid work permit?
• Do you have a fully functioning laptop with up-to-date software? A critical aspect of the estate agents job has to do with communicating effectively with clients by email, keep the CRM system up to date and perform web based research and reporting to all involved. This is impossible without the right tools i.e. a fully functioning laptop with up to date software.
• Do you understand that you need approx. 6-8 months of savings to see you through the average sales cycle. Through this period you will still be expected to travel to and from client appointments as well as be in the office when necessary.
• Are you proficient Google Suite and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software?
