Role Context
The Field Sales Executive will consult with business owners and introduce them to the #1 Logistics Company in the world. As a sales professional at DHL, you will own a territory, direct complex negotiations, and have a significant impact on DHL’s bottom line. You will maintain high-level customer service, leverage relationships, and actively monitor and review customer sales activity to help the business grow.
Key Responsibilities
- Visit all clients in the base within a 90‑day call cycle.
- Build revenue streams with current customers and evaluate opportunities to increase the relationship through face‑to‑face visits, problem solving and administrative follow‑up.
- Investigate new business potential at all existing clients during visits.
- Plan and perform six client visits per day, including maintenance, development, and acquisition visits.
- Schedule daily client visits a week in advance as far as reasonably possible.
- Obtain four First‑Time Buyers (FTBs) per month.
- Continuously uncover opportunities for new business within the assigned territory by cultivating leads and utilising your network.
- Secure major account customers (prospects) in the shortest time possible.
- Maintain customer loss rate below 10% per month.
- Pro‑actively identify and mitigate risks to customer relationships or SPD figures.
- Manage customer concerns or complaints promptly in accordance with DHL procedures.
- Maintain pipeline strength of 40% of total portfolio revenue at all times.
- Grow Shipments Per Day (SPD) figures according to local and country objectives.
- Strategically plan and execute best practices in sales to continuously grow revenue in the territory.
- Collaborate with Sales, Finance and Operations teams to maximise sales and revenue growth within the territory.
- Capture daily updates regarding client visits, client information, sales activity and required data using the applicable CRM tools.
Minimum Requirements
Matric / Grade 12.Commercial Degree / Diploma or related.3 years previous experience in Field Sales within a related industry.Valid Driver’s License and own reliable transport.Strong negotiation and communication skills (verbal and written).We are looking forward to your application.
