Patternmaker (Clothing)

Requirements and Competencies :

• Qualification / formal training in patternmaking.
• Min 3 years working experience in a patternmaking role, with relevant skills.
• Skilled in patternmaking - manual and computerised (Lectra / Gerber / etc).
• Excellent understanding of garment construction, patterns, fabrics, ratings, etc relevant for patternmaking.
• Understanding and knowledge of methods of creating patterns for various garment types.
• Knowledge of general grading rules / grading experience.
• Knowledge and experience in clothing manufacture environment and dealing with retailers.
• Experience with local production will be an advantage.
• Must have good communication skills.
• Must have basic computer skills.
• Ability to work under pressure.
