Job Description

Red Ember Recruitment is seeking an experienced Pattern Maker to join our clients team. The successful candidate must be Trade Tested and bring at least 5 years of post-qualification experience in a Jobbing Foundry. This role involves the manufacturing of pattern equipment from engineering drawings or physical samples, ensuring accuracy, durability, and adherence to foundry standards.

• Manufacture high-quality pattern equipment using engineering drawings or supplied samples.
• Operate and maintain pattern shop equipment.
• Ensure dimensional accuracy and quality control throughout the manufacturing process.
• Collaborate with moulders, foundry workers, and engineers to ensure smooth workflow.
• Maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
• Troubleshoot issues related to patterns and recommend improvements where necessary.

Qualifications & Experience Trade Tested Foundry Moulder (essential). Minimum of 10 years’ post-qualification experience in a jobbing foundry. Proven experience in sand moulding techniques. Strong knowledge of foundry processes, equipment, and best practices. Ability to read, understand, and work from technical drawings. High attention to detail with excellent quality control skills. Physical stamina and strength required for moulding tasks. Effective teamwork and communication skills. Competencies & Attributes Strong work ethic with commitment to quality workmanship.
