Duties & Responsibilities
Monitor and account for stationery, consumable levelsAttend to professional drafted correspondence, posting, serving and courier documentsGenerate case management Reports when requestedAssist at reception(front office) or other Case ManagerAllocate all applications and maintain proper records, diaries and file notesBook venues, Interpreters and Panelist for cases with proper notice in terms of DRC rulesCapture and schedule cases and notify parties, manage effective correspondence with partiesCase management and take instructions from MC where necessaryManage all DRC files in good professional order with all file notes and trailsMaintain and update CMS and diaries in professional orderEnsure non jurisdiction matters are transferred to the correct forum and notify partiesManage venues and attendees in a professional mannerLiaise with the CCMA, MIBCO and Labour Court / DOL professionally when requiredManage referrals from the referred stage to the closed status on CMS maintaining regional efficiency and run required reportsOversee and complete SECT 143(3) Applications and maintain a registerProcess applications for postponement in terms of the rulesProcess condonations and rescission applications in terms of the rulesScreen referral documents and notify party if the referral is defective and advise on areas of remedy neededAllocate cases to Panelists and compile proper accounts for paymentHandle complaints and queries professionallyReceive and assist callers and visitors professionally and methodicallyAssist with interpretation at conciliation and arbitration hearingsKnowledge / Experience / Skills / Requirements
Good verbal communication and excellent listening skillsAbility to withstand pressure and provide above average servicesMust at all times be professional, diplomatic and assertiveAbility to work independently and use initiative along with problem solving abilitiesAbility to hold professional relationships with stakeholders, i.e. Parties of the Council, members and management teamAdopt appropriate interpersonal style in achieving task accomplishment, modifying behavior according to tasks and individuals involvedMust be a good team player and achieve objectives and comply with all directives as set out by the Managing CommissionerMust be meticulous in carrying out tasks / instructions and be fully accountable for all workMust be patient and accommodating.Must be able to work independentlyKnowledge of the Dispute Resolution Centre processes would be an added advantageKnowledge of the CCMA case management system would be an advantageKnowledge of Labour relations Act and related employment Laws is an advantageRequirements
Qualifications
An appropriate grade 12 certificate and / or equivalent academic qualificationProfessionalism is a requirementComputer LiteracyProficient in Official languages, including EnglishAdministrative / Management jobs
