Purpose
As a Shipping Controller at Cape Union Mart, you are responsible for managing and coordinating all import and export shipping activities, ensuring goods move efficiently and cost‑effectively across international borders and arrive on time, in full compliance with customs and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring accurate documentation and tariff application
- Managing relationships with freight service providers
- Reconciling costings and payments
- Keeping systems up to date
- Supporting operational continuity through reliable inbound logistics
Qualification & Experience
Required : Matric (Grade 12)Preferred : Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, or International TradeAdvantageous : Training in Incoterms, Customs, Import / Export Regulations3–5 years in shipping / logistics operations, preferably in retail or FMCGExperience in freight forwarding, customs clearance, and handling bonded goodsSkills
