Job descriptionLead and mentor a team of enterprise solutions professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment Design, document and oversee the development of enterprise solutions, ensuring they meet ICT, business and technical requirements. Develop and implement transformation strategies, plans, and roadmaps, ensuring alignment with the company's vision and goals. Develop an understanding of our existing IT infrastructure while actively searching for improvement areas Evaluate existing and emerging technologies on a regular basis Ensure that applications are of high quality and meet the required standards. Identify opportunities for improvement in application development processes and technologies. Ensures the areas technological level remains up to date, defines standards, and implements new frameworks, policies, processes, procedures and techniques. Lead the implementation and ongoing management of enterprise solutions, including implementations, ongoing and resource allocation. Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of applications and projects, ensuring completion within agreed timelines and budget. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, prioritize, and execute transformation projects, ensuring timely delivery and successful implementation. Managing relationships with third-party vendors who provide enterprise solutions, applications, integration, development and / or consultancy services. Ensuring that enterprise solutions comply with governances, industry standards and regulations. This includes addressing cybersecurity risks and implementing necessary safeguards. Identify and mitigate risks associated with application development projects. Ensure the security and integrity of applications, data and systems. Function as a key liaison between IT, business units, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless adoption of applications and associated solutions. Skilled at identifying pain points and designing or modifying technical solutions to solve company problems. Involved in daily work across all business units, regularly interacting with both stakeholders and subject matter experts. Manage the budget and resources allocated to enterprise solutions, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficient resource utilization. Must be able to scope and cost solutions effectively. Continuously monitor the performance of enterprise solutions and identify areas for improvement and optimization. Report performance to senior leadership on a frequent basis. Identify and assess opportunities for process optimization, automation, and innovation to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness. An honours degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field. Experience of at least 10 years in, enterprise solutions, application development, and team leadership and various programming languages, databases, and application development frameworks. Experience in managing large-scale projects and delivering on time and within budget. Proficiency in multiple programming languages and development tools. Experience with various software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall). Experience and Knowledge of data, database technologies, integration and systems architectures. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills are essential. Ability to identify and resolve technical problems quickly and effectively. Ensure minimal disruption to business operations. Proven ability and experience working with modern technologies and roadmaps to ensure continuous delivery. Excellent leadership skills, the ability to work collaboratively within a team, and ability to inspire team members. Strong written and verbal skills with proven project management experience. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Demonstrated capacity to foster trust and develop the talents and expertise of staff so that they can assume expanded responsibilities. Demonstrated and exceptional customer-focus and service orientation. Strong inter-personal skills and the ability to work effectively and collegially with business stakeholders and colleagues. Possess a strong technical background and understanding of application development technologies and methodologies for enterprise systems, technologies, and solutions. Strong understanding of various programming languages, databases, and application development frameworks. Strong understanding of business processes and how technology can drive business outcomes. Ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Ability to identify and resolve complex problems and make data-driven decisions. Absolute commitment to ensuring an exceptional level of customers experience. Positive, collegiate approach with a can do-will do attitude and a desire to take responsibility for delivery. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
