Location : ZA-Johannesburg, with Alternative Office Location. The Microsoft Partner Support Agent role focuses on operational excellence of Microsoft’s Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) program and related partner initiatives, optimizing business workflows, supporting partner operations, and aligning Microsoft Partner Center with business needs. The role requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and relevant Microsoft programmatic support and system operations experience.
Responsibilities
- Assumes responsibility for ensuring effective operational support and administration
- Customer and Partner support with outstanding service and relationship building
- Timely acknowledgement and resolution of requests, troubleshooting professionally
- Follow Westcon and vendor processes, including SLA tracking and prescribed resolution flow
- Route non-operational queries to the appropriate team while maintaining customer experience
- Deliver superior customer and partner service and ensure effective communication
- Maintain accurate records of customer / partner requests using internal tools and policies
- Manage customer relationships : understand needs and provide appropriate support
- Escalate issues to customers, partners, suppliers, vendors, and internal departments as required
- Coordinate with third parties (vendors, suppliers, customers) in a timely manner
- Collaborate with internal teams (sales and engineering) for seamless resolution
- Enter data into company systems (e.g., new applications, pending items)
Microsoft Partner Systems and Program Support
Support Customers and Partners with Microsoft Partner Center queries (Account Settings, Billing, Customers, Pricing workspace)Stay updated on Microsoft / Westcon changes affecting customers and partnersDeep knowledge of CSP program and monthly updatesProvide operational support and training on Westcon partner tools (BlueSky, Partner Central Marketplace, MS CSP Order management)Create and manage Microsoft VL and SPLA agreements on e-agreementsUnderstand Microsoft Programs, Licensing and BillingComplete mandatory trainings relevant to the roleProfessional Relationships
Establish and maintain professional relationships with customers and external contactsMaintain confidentiality of customer informationMaintain effective communication and coordination with Company team membersAssist area personnel as needed and keep management informed of progress and issuesAttend and participate in required meetingsQualifications / Requirements
MatricMicrosoft certifications / operational courses essentialKnowledge
Good knowledge of Westcon portfolio and Microsoft CSP portfolioGeneral knowledge of communications and networking technologyProficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)MS Certifications – Sales foundational certifications and CSP required certificationsUnderstanding of Microsoft licensing and billingExperience
Minimum 2 years Operations Support experience preferredMicrosoft technology and product knowledge essentialBasic technical experience is an advantageSkills & Attributes
