Business Development Manager / Marketer Market Related - Based On Experience

We are a boutique law firm based in Pretoria, specialising in corporate and commercial law. With a focus on providing exceptional legal services to our clients, we are now seeking an enthusiastic and driven individual to join our team as an In‑House Business Development Manager / Marketer.

Duties & Responsibilities

Role Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving our firm's marketing and business development efforts, with a focus on generating effective leads, organising engaging marketing events and campaigns, and attracting new clients.

Our client base primarily consists of businesses and corporate companies, with a particular emphasis on multi‑nationals rather than walk‑in customers.

This is a newly developed role within the firm, offering the opportunity for the right candidate to make a significant impact and shape our marketing strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and finalise engaging social media posts (minimum 3 per week) to increase our online presence and attract potential clients.
• Plan and execute original marketing events and campaigns to showcase our firm's expertise and attract new business opportunities.
• Work closely with legal practitioners to gather relevant information and ideas for marketing strategies.
• Manage communication channels with internal stakeholders, ensuring efficient approval processes for marketing materials.
• Continuously monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities and stay ahead of the curve.
• Advise on suitable and tested marketing strategies to retain existing business clients and attract new business clients.
• Develop relationship building strategies with key industry role players, chambers of commerce and international forums to attract international clients for cross-border legal work.
