About the Role
We’re building a new media property focused on “high-performance teams”. Our goal is to produce the world’s best content on this topic, building a niche audience of founders and CEOs, which will benefit our core business.
This is a flagship hire : someone who can take a deeply strategic content direction from our CEO and translate it into standout long‑form pieces, interviews, analysis, newsletters, and thought leadership that genuinely adds value and builds a brand.
This person is not a strategist – they’re an exceptional craftsperson. A mid‑senior writer with strong journalistic instincts, editorial sharpness, and the ability to turn raw insight into polished, compelling, publish‑ready content. They will own our content end‑to‑end and be the heartbeat of the media play.
What You’ll Do
Core Responsibilities
- Write high‑quality long‑form articles, interviews, and explainers that explore what makes world‑class teams succeed.
- Edit and elevate content across the company, ensuring clarity, depth, and voice consistency.
- Build and manage a content pipeline across blog, newsletter, and LinkedIn.
- Conduct interviews with founders, leaders, and operators; distill their insights into structured, engaging narrative pieces.
- Collaborate closely with our CEO for direction, context, and framing then run independently on execution.
- Develop a clean, authoritative editorial voice that establishes trust and authority in the market.
- Maintain high standards for research, accuracy, and nuance.
- Help shape an emerging “media brand” that drives top‑of‑funnel demand for Modern Day Talent.
Who You Are
Must‑Haves
4–7+ years of writing or editing experience, preferably in journalism, editorial content, long‑form writing, or content‑heavy roles.Demonstrated ability to write with clarity, confidence, and structure.Strong interviews and research skills; ability to pull insights out of complex conversations.Curiosity and intellectual agility – someone who naturally digs deeper and thinks critically.A portfolio that shows depth of thought and narrative craft.Nice‑to‑Haves
