Overview
We are seeking a driven and results-oriented E-commerce & Distribution Executive to join our dynamic team in South Africa. You will play a crucial role in maximizing online revenue and distribution for our Minor Hotels properties in the region. The scope of this job is to ensure we are competitively represented on our brand and product on all Digital and Distribution channels. This role will serve the needs of the business our guest and our colleagues by developing and implementing key eCommerce and Distribution strategies to optimize all the distribution channel and advertising digital channels.
Support with eCommerce and Digital Marketing activities for the hotels in the SSA region. Support Minors Hotels Long-term Digital strategies in line with corporate initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize the online presence of the hotels brand websites and other relevant channels (OTAs, metasearch engines). This includes content creation (descriptions, images).
- Ensure optimal content of the properties on all relevant eCommerce platforms.
- Coordinate with hotels the execution of all eCommerce activities for the properties and implement new eCommerce initiatives to support hotels marketing strategies.
- Work closely with the Marketing and Communications team on online marketing initiatives and website functionality.
- Develop and optimize online content to maximise ranking / visibility of properties on various search engines and channels.
- Assist in conducting feasibility studies, ROI analyses, and in suggesting ways of improving ranking and revenue generation across channels.
- Assist in measuring, analyzing, and reporting eCommerce performance and suggest tactics for improvements and new activities.
- Support the revenue team at each property in maximizing revenue and yield through business trend analysis and highlighting opportunities in digital and distribution strategies.
- Monitor and ensure adherence to Dynamic Pricing Strategies with global and local distribution partners.
- Utilize channel management tools to ensure optimal distribution across channels and monitor performance.
- Generate reports and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of eCommerce and distribution efforts.
Qualifications
At least a Bachelor's Degree in any related field.Preferable but not mandatory to have online marketing experience in the hotel or travel verticals.Excellent written & verbal English is essential.Understanding of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Pay-Per-Click (PPC) tactics.Understanding of Social Media (Tripadvisor, HolidayCheck, Facebook).Preferable experience using Content Management Systems (CMS).Preferable experience in hotel or travel-related business.Preferable experience in OTA reservations or use of channel management.Analytical skills are essential; ability to work under pressure and manage multiple demands with appropriate prioritization.Project management skills with attention to detail and deadlines.Preferable proficient web analytics skills and the ability to analyze website performance data.Very good use of Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.Additional Information
