The Team
The People Team forms an integral part of the FinChoice business, responsible for the people strategy. Role Purpose
The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for managing the full recruitment lifecycle from workforce planning and sourcing to selection, offer management, and onboarding. This role partners closely with leaders across all departments to design and deliver effective hiring strategies that support the company’s growth objectives and culture.

- Partner with department heads and hiring managers to forecast hiring needs and develop recruitment plans.
- Provide market intelligence and talent insights to support workforce and succession planning.
- Ensure alignment of recruitment strategies with business and transformation objectives.
- Build a talent pipeline for all levels and roles within the business unit.
Recruitment Delivery
Manage end‑to‑end recruitment process : job briefing, advertising, sourcing, screening, interviewing, reference checks, offer negotiation.Source and attract high‑quality candidates using direct sourcing, networking, job boards and digital platforms (LinkedIn Recruiter, etc.).Headhunt for scarce / hard‑to‑fill roles.Ensure quality and consistency in the application of recruitment policies, procedures and practices.Review recruitment tools, processes and systems and recommend best practices.Develop recruitment strategies with BU leaders to meet volume and deadline targets.Coordinate interviews and handle all candidate application stages professionally and timely to ensure an excellent candidate experience.Analyse roles to create and / or update role profiles according to vacancy requirements, experience and skills.Coordinate with hiring managers for recruitment improvements.Maintain and update vacancy tracker and ensure data integrity.Provide feedback to candidates whether successful or not.Support design and delivery of structured and competency‑based interviews, including CV screening, telephonic calls, assessments and in‑person interviews.Coordinate and implement relevant assessments and checks (ITC, criminal, qualification, reference) in line with agreed service levels.Contribute to employer branding initiatives.Build and maintain a pipeline of future‑fit candidates for critical and hard‑to‑fill roles.Use media, educational resources, online platforms and publications to attract talent.Continuously update career portals, intranet and recruitment templates.Represent the company at career fairs, universities and industry events from time to time.Reporting & Compliance
Track and report on recruitment metrics (time‑to‑fill, source effectiveness, candidate conversion rates, and quality‑of‑hire).Ensure compliance with EE, POPIA and other labour legislation.Support HR audits and maintain consistent documentation across recruitment processes.Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology or a related discipline.Minimum of 5 years of experience in talent acquisition, including familiarity with EVP and employer branding.Proven track record recruiting across varied business areas (Operations, Finance, Sales, Marketing, Product, Technology, Data).Minimum 2 years of experience focused on tech and product roles.Certification in LinkedIn Certified Recruiter, Talent Acquisition Strategy or similar is advantageous.Experience recruiting within Fintech, Financial Services or Digital Technology sectors is advantageous.Good computer literacy with proficiency in MS Office.Experience in role profiling, competency and behavioural interviewing techniques, assessment tools.Knowledge and experience with Applicant Tracking Systems and sourcing platforms (LinkedIn, Simplify HR, etc.).Strong understanding of recruitment best practices, market mapping and sourcing strategies.Core Competencies
