Overview
Gen-eye (Pty) Ltd is seeking a results-driven National Sales Manager to lead our high-performing team and accelerate growth in the South African pharmaceutical market. You will be responsible for setting the commercial direction, overseeing key account management, and successfully executing new product launches across multiple therapeutic areas. This role focuses heavily on in-field coaching and developing your Regional Sales Managers and representatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Coach and guide RSMs and the sales team to achieve targets.
- Allocate resources effectively and monitor KPIs.
- Implement go-to-market plans, territory optimisation, and segmentation.
- Drive growth at independent pharmacies and manage KOL relationships.
- Launch new products with clear sales plans.
- Build cross-functional collaboration with other departments.
- Maintain strong relationships with specialists, pharmacies, and hospitals.
- Ensure adherence to SOPs and corporate governance.
Experience and Knowledge
Tertiary Qualification8-12 years progressive sales experience in a pharmaceutical or healthcare sector, including 5 years in national or regional sales leadership.Proven success in driving national sales growth, achieving market share expansion and exceeding product launch and revenue targets across multiple therapeutic areas.Experience in budget management, sales forecasting and profitability analysis.Solid understanding of the South African pharmaceutical marketFamiliarity with retail and prescription product strategies.Behaviours
