Overview
Link Key Account Manager - Coastal (CPT). Location : Cape Town. Contract : Permanent. Remuneration : Market Related. EE position : Yes.
Responsibilities
- Relationship building : identify, build relationships with and influence key internal and external stakeholders to understand needs and interpret market research.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure cross-functional integration and execution of strategy; generate demand by building relationships with key clients.
- Research and analysis : conduct market research to influence brand opportunities; determine target markets and marketing strategies based on customer demographics, attitudes, and behaviours; identify information needs through primary and / or secondary market research.
- Sales : drive sales aligned to strategic objectives to increase profitability and expand footprint; increase Link pharmacy customer base and purchasing compliance; direct sales to new prospects; measure implementation of the business plan; achieve planned sales targets.
- Marketing : grow the Link brand through channel brand management; manage and promote the Link Brand (advertising around Link; standards of Link Stores; POS material for Link LOB marketing); screen potential deals by analysing market strategies and financial needs.
- Contract negotiation : plan and negotiate contracts and clients; ensure compliance management.
- Reporting : compile and provide accurate reporting on profitability, trading agreements, updates and other portfolio-related requirements.
Qualifications and Requirements
Minimum education : Matric; relevant qualification in Sales and Marketing or similar; QPB or pharmacy qualification advantageous.Minimum experience : 3-5 years pharmaceutical industry experience at management / professional level with independent pharmacy experience; 3-5 years in pharmaceutical or healthcare sales and marketing; valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.Knowledge : sales principles, regulations, industry standards, processes, systems.Skills : planning and organisation; excellent communication; negotiation; strong interpersonal and relationship management across multiple management levels; time management; attention to detail and accuracy; analytical and strategic thinking; budget management; computer literacy (Advanced Excel and PowerPoint).Personal competencies : building and maintaining strategic networks; presenting and communicating; persuading and influencing; entrepreneurial and commercial thinking; adaptability; creativity and innovation; problem solving; delivering results and meeting customer expectations.Seniorities and Employment
