We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Admin Team Leader to lead our Retirement Fund Administration team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is committed to operational excellence, and is passionate about delivering exceptional client service.
Education & Experience Requirements
- Matric – Essential
- Relevant bachelor’s degree or Postgraduate Qualification – Advantageous
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in retirement fund administration
- Extensive experience in terminating retirement funds with the FSCA , including managing the full process from preparation of documentation to final deregistration. Proven ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders, ensure regulatory compliance, and meet FSCA requirements within stipulated timelines.
- Minimum 3 – 5 years’ experience in leadership or management roles
Key Performance Areas
Operational & Financial Excellence
Ensure operational efficiency and financial success of the branchManage expenses within branch standards and limitsOversee fund allocations and eliminate PI claimsIdentify opportunities for additional income and cost savingsFund Administration Oversight
Supervise monthly contribution reconciliations for Pension and Provident FundsEnsure accurate maintenance of member data and Section 13(a) reportingOversee processing and authorization of claims, including bulk transfers and housing loansPrepare and review monthly client reports, administration reports, and member statementsManage fund changes, financial year-end preparations, and risk reportsEnsure timely resolution of queries and emailsTeam Leadership & Development
Build and lead a high-performing team of administratorsConduct recruitment, performance reviews, and disciplinary processesMentor and coach team members, fostering a culture of continuous learningFacilitate regular team meetings and one-on-one sessionsEnsure compliance with deliverables and quality standardsClient Service & TCF Implementation
