Key Performance Output
The successful candidate will be reporting to Senior Manager Compliance, and will be responsible but not limited to the following :
Provide expert input and implement compliance framework and methodology to ensure achievement of business objectives cost effectively and within the regulatory and legislative framework.Monitor compliance as per compliance risk management plans.Design and build compliance programs to minimise instances of non-compliance.Ensure compliance with Delegated Levels of Authority (DLA) according to ACSA framework.Monitor compliance with legislation, rules, codes, standards, policies and procedures within relevant area and report issues of non-compliance to Executive Management and relevant committees.Ensure the promotion and assessment of the current state of compliance across organisation.Develop and implement company compliance profiles.Monitor compliance management system to ensure compliance.Research best practices in corporate governance to adopt and align it with the organisation's practices.Ensure close collaboration of all compliance activities with Risk Management and Internal Audit teams.Support continuous research on systems enhancement to improve offering to business.Research best practices in corporate governance to adopt and align it with the organisation's practices.Report on Management on strategic and operational compliance risks for business.Report on issues of non-compliance to Management.Provide input into the report on compliance status based on company profile.Build, support and maintain healthy diverse internal (peers, unions, team) as well as external(service providers etc.) relationships and implementing remedial actions where required to ensure minimum risk to the company.
Provide relevant and specialised technical support / advice to relevant stakeholders regarding risks imposed to ACSA.Engage and liaise with senior staff members.Technical Skills and Experience
The following skills and experience or the equivalent of such will be required :
A Postgraduate Diploma in Law, Auditing or Commerce is essential.Membership with the Compliance Institute of South Africa (CISA) is essential.Membership with the Institute of Risk Management South Africa is advantageous.6-8 years operational experience is essential.Law / Legal jobs
