Our client is offering a unique Labour Relations Internship designed for a recent LLB graduate who is enthusiastic about building a career in Industrial Relations and contributing to key employee relations processes.
This is an entry-level role, but it requires a basic understanding of labour or industrial relations concepts. It’s the perfect opportunity for someone with a legal background who’s eager to transition into the IR field and gain practical, hands-on experience.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist with administrative tasks related to disciplinary hearings, grievances, and counselling sessions
- Help coordinate IR meetings involving unions and formal employee relations structures
- Support the preparation and maintenance of labour relations documentation and communication
- Conduct research on labour legislation, case law, and CCMA practices
- Draft and assist with scheduling notices, hearing minutes, and outcome letters
- Assist in reporting and analysis of IR metrics and trends
Requirements : - LLB dgree
- Strong academic performance (preferably with modules in labour / industrial law)
- Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills
- Clear communication skills (verbal & written)
- Organised, proactive with strong attention to detail
- Willingness to liaise with multiple stakeholders (management, employees, unions)
