We oversee the overarching ThriveEd brand, each school's corporate identity, and the central marketing frameworks, policies, and systems that guide all external-facing communication. The Role
We're looking for a Senior Marketing Specialist who's both creative and strategic — someone who can think big picture while executing the detail beautifully. This role sits at the intersection of brand, marketing, and communications, supporting the Group Brand and Marketing Manager in developing and executing campaigns across the ThriveEd network.
You’ll collaborate with individual school teams to ensure brand consistency, professional execution, and compelling storytelling. The position is office-based in Irene, Centurion, with some travel to Johannesburg-based schools and occasional visits to schools in other provinces.
Key Responsibilities
Contribute to and help implement marketing and communications strategies across the ThriveEd network.Develop and coordinate marketing plans in collaboration with the Group Brand Marketing Manager and school teams.Create compelling marketing copy, campaign messaging, and storytelling content that reflect the ThriveEd brand voice across digital, print, and social channels.Shape and maintain the brand narrative, ensuring all communications consistently express ThriveEd’s values, tone, and positioning.Oversee and guide social media management, including content calendars, community engagement, and performance tracking.Support and coordinate advertising campaigns (digital, print, OOH, and community-based).Conceptualise and lead on-site content creation, including photography, videography, and interviews – to capture authentic stories that attract new families.Develop and maintain messaging frameworks and brand narratives to ensure language and storytelling are aligned with the ThriveEd voice.Review and refine copy, visuals, and layouts for accuracy, quality, and brand alignment.Assist with the rollout of group-wide marketing systems, templates, and brand toolkits.Collaborate with external agencies, suppliers, and creative partners where needed.Work with school marketing representatives to develop lead generation and admissions funnel tracking, ensuring consistent data capture and reporting through group systems.What You’ll Bring
A degree in Marketing, Communications, Brand Management, or a related field.5–7+ years’ experience in marketing and communications, ideally within a corporate or multi-brand environment.A solid understanding of digital marketing (including Meta Ads, Google Ads, analytics, and lead generation).Excellent written and verbal communication skills – with an eye for storytelling, tone, and detail.Meticulous attention to language and design; you care deeply about accuracy, layout, and presentation.Basic graphic design skills (Canva, Adobe Express, or similar).Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.A valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel when required.What We Offer
