We are seeking a skilled Sous Chef Breakfast to oversee breakfast operations, ensuring exceptional food quality, service efficiency, and guest satisfaction. The successful candidate will work closely with the Executive Chef and F&B team to deliver a seamless breakfast experience for all hotel guests.
Critical Criteria (Requirements)
- Minimum 35 years experience in a Sous Chef role, preferably focused on breakfast or a similar F&B outlet in a 4 / 5-star hotel or luxury resort
- Proven experience in supervising kitchen teams and managing high-volume breakfast operations
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, presentation, and hygiene standards
- Culinary qualification or diploma advantageous
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
- Ability to remain calm and efficient in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- South African citizen with a valid ID

Assist the Executive Chef in planning and preparing breakfast menusSupervise breakfast operations, ensuring timely, high-quality food productionManage and coach junior kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to SOPs and culinary standardsMonitor food quality, presentation, and portion control during serviceEnsure compliance with hygiene, health, and safety regulationsCollaborate with F&B and service teams to ensure smooth coordination during breakfast serviceAssist with inventory management, stock rotation, and ordering of breakfast ingredientsSupport continuous improvement of culinary techniques, workflows, and guest satisfactionLive and promote the hotels values of Teamwork, Respect, Innovation, Accountability, Passion, and IntegrityPackage on Offer
